简介： Inthisseason,theshowwentbacktoairingonenewepisodeaweek,butstayedinthehour-lengthformat,fillingupthesecondhalf-hourwithepisodesfrompreviousseasonsandsomeoftheprime-timespecialsfromthe1980s.Thisentireseason,alongwiththesecondhalfofseason6,isavailableonGarfieldandFriendsVolume5DVDset.Alsoworthnotingisthathere,anewthemesongwasaddedthatwaswrittenbyJ.R.JohnstonandNeilPanton.ThethemewassungbyJ.R.Johnston.Thisthemesongwasnotshowninternationally,andasaresult,itdoesnotappearontheDVDs(althoughGarfield'squotationsarekeptintact).ThisnewintroductionsequenceusedmostclipsfromSeasons5-7andafewfromthefirsttwoseasons,aswellasGarfieldinParadiseandGarfield'sFelineFantasies.Theepisodesstoppedusingafewsecondsofthethemeplayingintheepisodetitlecardsafterseasonseven'sfourthepisode;musicfromtheepisodeswereusedinthetitlecardsuntiltheshowended,eventhoughseasonsixusedmusicfromsomeoftheirepisodes.
